They All Thought I Was Crazy…Until The $2.1 Million Bid Came In

Striking out on your own sometimes will make you seem crazy to your
family, friends and co-workers. I had always wanted to have my own
business and was even making a real estate investment on the day I was
laid-off from a six figure income position. It came at the worst time for
me, my wife was seven months pregnant, we just bought a big (spelled
expensive) truck, and the economy was on a downward spiral.
After four months of unemployment I started selling my personal stuff on
eBay out of desperation and to help make ends meet. I did pretty good and thought “I could sell other peoples things for them also.” IwillSELLyourSTUFF.com was born and I was now in business. The very next week I started handing out business cards and telling everyone “I will sell your stuff on eBay.”

The following week I ended up with two contracts and an excellent start for my fledgling company. I realized that it was fairly easy to find other peoples’ stuff to sell. Most know nothing about selling on the internet, and that is where I could step in. The challenge would be actually making the sale.  I landed a contract for a Missile Silohome that ended after a month with no bids. At this point all my
relatives and friends were skeptical that I could sell anything and that this crazy idea of selling on eBay was a pipe dream. I also by this time had been unemployed for over five months and still had no income to speak of. I knew that someone out there was willing to buy this Silohome - I just had to find
the right person and I eventually did.

My business is now focused on high-dollar and very unusual items. I have since sold a few 727 Airplane Homes and typically have unusual items for sale like Inflatable Churches, Personal Bunkers, Private Islands, and I once even sold The Millionaire Mentor!  No longer am I required to punch a clock and put in eight hours knowing that I could do the work in two. Working at home is an awesome experience. I followed the advice “when you are ready to quit, take one more step forward.” You know, striking out on your own can sometimes be crazy good.
